What can I expect when I book a personal trainer?

If you haven’t used a personal trainer before then we understand it can be intimidating and a big deal even to book a consultation. So that you know what you are getting yourself into, I’ve briefly outlined what you can expect when you book to see one of our personal trainers.

Step 1, The Consultation:

Get in touch using our contact us page or give us a call. We’ll then book you a convenient time to come in for a free consultation. This typically takes approximately 30 minutes. We’ll want to know your reasons for getting in touch. Fitness goals, current exercise plan if any and exercise history. Also details of any barriers that have stopped you achieving your goals in the past. Our consultation form will also highlight basic nutritional habits and physical restrictions.

All of this information will be used when designing your fitness programme should you sign up with us.

Step 2, The Taster Session:

This is typically around 45 minutes and will typically include basic body weight exercises and a short cardio workout. From this we can gauge what exercises would be suitable and start putting together a weekly workout plan.

Step 3, Begin Training:

Once you’ve made a commitment to personal training we will perform a quick body composition test and suggest other ways of monitoring progress. This will be done on a monthly basis and your workout plan will change regularly based on how quickly you progress.
